Welcome back gardeners, hope you had a great break. Today we received some good news and bad news. The bad news is that the volunteers and funding we got to build our front garden was canceled so we're on our own on that. The good news is that we discovered that we have a small budget left over in Garden Club from five years ago so we can hopefully make everything work out. We'd like to thank Jim Stickley, a landscape architect for coming in and helping us in our project today. He helped us determine which plants/trees we should keep and gave us suggestions on what we should put in our front garden as well. He also brought in a large "palette" of plants and introduced us to them so we could decide on what plants we liked to put in the garden. All of us then went out, surveyed our garden and planned out what we should put in it. Today was made possible by him so let's give him a huge thanks! We are on track in making our project despite the setback we got. Great preseverence everyone. Let's keep it up!

Hey guys! We had a special Tuesday Garden Club meeting due to the fact that we have Wednesday off. Before we went off to break, we transplanted all of our seeds and gave them a new home. We also continued on the front entrance project and created a picture stitch of Gateway's front entrance. Our entrance project is set for Saturday, December 8th, so gardeners if you can make it, it would be a great experience for you. Good job guys and have a great Thanksgiving Break.
Today in Garden Club we transplanted some cacti, generously donated by Duncan. Others worked on transplanting various plants from pot to pot, or planting new plants altogether. We also had a couple of kids working on Google Sketch-Up to create a model based on last weeks measurements. Everything seems to be on track and we are well on our way to success. Great job gardeners and we'll see you after the break! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Garden Club has officially relaunched today. Things seem to have run smoother than before which is a very good thing. We have come up with a fair and just watering system and officially introduced our website to the public. For todays work, we broke out into groups of three or four and got down to business. We got some people to replant seeds again as an unfortunate event happened involving vermin. We also got people to stain some more barrels which went fairly well too. Finally, we had a group of people measuring the front yard of the school for an upcoming Garden Club project. We have received a generous sum of money to clean up, and rebuild Gateway's front garden. This project should be done by the time we come back from winter break. This is only one of the great things you will see Garden Club do this year. Overall, this week was one of the most productive weeks we've had so far this year. Great job everyone and keep up the work!
