On Wednesday, Garden club has accomplished a number of things. One thing we accomplished on wednesday was planting the rest of the trees in the front garden of the school. So parents that donated plants to us and the people from "Friends of the Urban Forest," your plants are planted in their new homes. We also decided to designate a small plot of land in our garden to each member in the club to grow whatever plant they want. This will not only boost a student's learning, but it will also help one to know what it's like to be responsible for another living organism. It's a great opportunity for students to learn about life. Great job guys and see you next week.

Hey guys sorry for the late post, it's been a busy week. Wednesday's meeting was a mixture of goal setting, planting, and debate. We discussed ways to increase Garden Club productivity and set some goals for the spring semester. Additionally, we planted some of the plants we got from Saturday's pickup in our back garden and front garden. We are saving the rest for Saturday, when a group of members will come to school and do some planting. Thank you all for coming to Garden Club and we'll see you soon.
Hey everyone, Happy New Year from the Gateway Garden Club. We hope you have had a great start to your new year. On the last Communigator, we asked parents and other supporters of Gateway to donate some of their unwanted plants to Garden Club. We had some donators respond to our request and today, we went to their houses to collect the plants. A small but productive team of three consisting of Mr. Berthiaume, Duncan, and me (Golden) were up for the task and went around in a truck collecting plants. It went very well and we had a blast while collecting the plants. Thank you to everyone that donated and helped us out. Be sure that they will receive a nice home and lots of care. Garden Club will resume at the normal time next week on Wednesday. We hope to see you gardeners there!
